====== Group mode ======

The settings for “**Groups**” in the course are only relevant if “[[en:moodle:user:groups:start|Groups]]” are used in the course. 


**Recommendation:** You can set the “**Group mode**” for each activity individually. It is better to leave the setting for the entire course at “**No groups**”.

===== Force group mode =====

Forces the “**Groups**” for each activity. See more info on the [[en:moodle:user:groups:start|Groups]] page.

===== Standard for grouping =====

Groups can be combined into groupings, e.g. to use only a selection of the existing groups. See more info on the [[en:moodle:user:groups:start|Groups]] page.
