====== Group mode ======

In order to work with 👥 Moodle groups, groups must first be created. Then students are assigned to the groups. You can [[en:moodle:user:groups:#create_groups_and_enroll_students_manually|enroll_students_manually into groups]], set up a [[en:moodle:user:groups:#group_choice_students_choose_your_own_group_out |group_choice for students]], or assign a [[en:moodle:user:groups:#enroll_students_choose_when_enrolling_a_group|enrollment_key per group]].

**Prerequisite**: Moodle workgroups have been created. \\
1. Set the group mode of the respective activity:
Open the settings of the activity. \\
2. in the area "Further settings" you can select the group mode.
