To ensure that your personal data is protected in the best possible way, we have configured Zoom to be as data-saving as possible.
The configuration is listed below and can be partially overridden by the host.

• All meetings start with participant video turned off. Video must be actively turned on by participants.
• Participants are muted when they enter the meeting.
• Display of email addresses via watermark is disabled.
• A password is set by default for all meetings, including participation by phone.
• Feedbacks to Zoom at the end of a meeting are disabled.
• Remote control via screen sharing is disabled.
• Remote support is disabled.
• Remote camera control is disabled.
• Participants can join meetings directly from the browser without installing the Zoom client. Use the Chrome browser to do this, as other browsers do not support all of Zoom's features. We recommend using a current version of the Client.
• Notification of the host when participants enter before the host is disabled.
• Automatic notification of participants when a meeting is cancelled is disabled.

• Encryption of all data between the Zoom Cloud, Zoom Client, and Zoom Room. End-to-end encryption is possible (decreases functionality).
• If only two people are in a meeting, a peer-to-peer connection is established.
• Sending emails via the Zoom website is disabled.
• Snapshot in iOS task switcher is blurred to hide any confidential information from the Zoom main window snapshot. This snapshot is displayed as a preview screen in the iOS task switcher when multiple apps are open.

• Data sharing with Office 365 is disabled.
• CDN usage is disabled.

• Storage of chat communication is possible for participants.
• Automatic storage of chat communication for the host is disabled.
• Automatic storage of whiteboard content is prevented.
• Recording of meetings in the ZOOM cloud is disabled.
• Local recording of meetings is possible. If a recording is currently taking place, this is displayed in the Zoom meeting room.
• Participants must give their consent to record a meeting.
• Automatic recording at meeting start is disabled.
