Camtasia and Snagit

Camtasia is a software for creating screencasts/screen recordings and video editing, while the slimmer Snagit is suitable for quickly creating and editing screencasts/screenshots.
The license key may only be used by lecturers and teaching staff of the Jade University of Applied Sciences as well as student assistants with contracts of 50% working time or more.
The license is initially valid for 12 months and can be extended by the Jade University. After that, the license expires (as of May 2024).
Versions
Snagit 2024 and Camtasia 2024 are currently available (as of 14.06.2024).
Camtasia 2024 is available via the download (see “Use on personal devices”). Camtasia 2024 is now also available in the software distribution (see “Use in PC network”).
Use in PC network
License holders can use the ZENworks software distribution for Windows computers in the PC network system.
- Call up software distribution via “Start”.
- Enter in the search field: “ZENworks applications”.
- Camtasia and Snagit can be found under “Other applications” (or use the search function).
Use on personal devices
For use on personal devices, download the software directly from the developer. The license key can be retrieved from the website after logging in with university access data.
