Lessons consist of a series of pages and links between pages.
Stringently guide participants from page to page or provide them with choices. Depending on the participants' response and how the Teacher develops the lesson, they may move on to the next page, be taken back to a previous page, or be redirected to a completely different path.

A lesson can be graded, with the final grade recorded in the assessments.

All lesson content can be created directly in moodle, unlike learning packages or IMS content.

A lesson activity can be used

• For self-directed learning of a new topic.
• For scenarios or simulations/decision exercises
• For differentiated repetitions, with different sets of repetition questions, depending on the answers to the initial questions.
