Lessons consist of a series of pages and links between the pages. Guide the participants stringently from page to page or offer them choices. Depending on the participant's response and the way the teacher develops the lesson, they can move on to the next page, return to a previous page or be redirected to a completely different path. A lesson can be graded, with the final grade recorded in the assessments.

A “Lesson” activity can be used:

• For self-directed learning of a new topic
• For scenarios or simulations/decision exercises
• For differentiated repetition, with different sets of repetition questions, depending on the answers to the first questions
