Zoom

With the Zoom software, teachers, students and employees of the Jade University of Applied Sciences can conduct video conferences.
Video conferences with up to 300 people can be held without time limits. If you want to hold a conference with more than 300 people, it is recommended to use Webex.
Install “Zoom Client” to start and join meetings.

Your local Zoom application (client version) should be as up-to-date as possible to ensure that everything works properly and securely: Check and update the client version.

The Zoom video conferencing service was updated in April 2023.

New dial-in numbers from 17.04.2023.

The previous telephone dial-in numbers are no longer valid since April 12, 2023.
If you offer telephone dial-in for participants, you have had to recreate the relevant meetings since April 17, 2023. The meeting URL would then also change.
There are no other changes for existing meetings.
The domain zoom-x.de is an alias or a communicative domain that is forwarded to a target URL at the end. In this case to eu02web.zoom.us. Forwarding to this URL does not mean that your meeting data is stored in the USA. The meeting data is hosted by Zoom X in Germany.

Teachers (or the “Teacher” role) can create Zoom meetings in Moodle. For weekly recurring meetings, we recommend a Recurring meeting in Moodle.

Please note that participating in a Zoom meeting via a mobile connection may incur costs (depending on the network operator and country code).
